Sara Turvey waters the plants that hang on Main Street North near Hormel Food Corp.’s Corporate Office South last week while Amy Bawek drives. They work for the Austin Park, Recreation and Forestry Department. Their days starts at 7 a.m. and often ends at 7 p.m. when they pull a double shift. The water crew is kept busy seven days a week. "It’s a fun job, but it does get repetitious. We get lots of cars honking at us," Bawek said. Both women are college students. Turvey attends North Iowa Area Community College in Mason City and Bawek is a student at Riverland Community College.
