This stretch of Mower County Road 3 will be relocated, after approval by the Mower County Board of Commissioners, to accommodate the expansion of the Austin Municipal Airport runway from its current length of 4,796 feet to a proposed length of 5,800 feet. A grove of burr oaks and a white rambler owned by Chris and Mary Hogan are two of the things standing in the way of the expansion.
