Youth take center stage this weekend

This weekend is the first official full weekend of daylight-saving hours. With that in mind, there’s plenty to to this weekend.
A children’s production
Austin’s Matchbox Children’s Theatre will present "The Dragon of Nitt" at 7 tonight and and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Paramount Theatre. Admission is $5 for adults and $3.50 for children. Call 437-9078.
A ‘Figment’ of imagination
Austin High School students also are on stage this weekend when they present "Figments" at 7 tonight and 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday at Christgau Hall. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for high school students and all persons under age 18. The play is a fast-paced and humorous production.
Have fun at the Y
From 6 to 9 tonight, enjoy Family Fun Night at the Y. It’s open to members and non-members, although non-members pay $6 per family. Call 433-1804.
There’s more family fun
Head out to OakPark Mall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday for Week of the Young Child activities. There will be fun activities, resource information and prizes.
