MINNEAPOLIS – Riverland Community College’s Nick Peters was named to the 15-man All-State team at the Minnesota Community College Conference state tournament this past weekend.

MINNEAPOLIS – Riverland Community College’s Nick Peters was named to the 15-man All-State team at the Minnesota Community College Conference state tournament this past weekend.
Peters was the conference’s best three-point shooter, hitting on .423 of his attempts and making 69 of 163 shots. He made a three-pointer in every game but one.
The 6-foot, 1-inch guard was the team’s top scorer with an average of 15.2 points per game to rank among the conference leaders. Also, from the backcourt, Peters pulled down 7.7 rebounds a game. The Nicollet, Minn., native scored 20 or more points six times and had a season-high of 33 points against Minnesota West Community College.
Teammate Brandon Kettner was one of four players selected honorable mention.
Kettner was fourth in the conference in rebounding with a 9.7 rebounds per game average. He averaged 13 points per game.
