Missing a package?
The Austin Police Department has a misdelivered package sent from California last October.
To claim the package, call the Austin-Mower County Law Enforcement Center and then authorities will claim you for possession of a controlled substance.
According to an Austin police report, an unidentified woman turned over to authorities a package containing 2,000 grams of a substance believed to be marijuana, plus a "bong" pipe.
According to the woman, the package was delivered last October by mistake to her residence. She attempted to have the delivery service retrieve the package. When they refused, she left the package in her garage unopened until Sunday when she took it to the LEC.
The contents of the package was undisturbed, according to police, until authorities opened it and discovered the marijuana and pipe.
The marijuana has a street value of $4,000.
Police have verified it was sent Oct. 19 by a man from Corona, Calif., and delivered to the wrong address of another man in Austin on Oct. 20.
Suspect sought
A female clerk at a northeast Austin convenience store reported to the Austin Police Department that a man exposed himself to her.
The woman gave a detailed description of the incident and the man, who was described as while, 20 to 25 years old, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9 in height and "skinny with a big nose." He was wearing black clothes when the incident was reported Sunday afternoon.
A search of the area by Austin police did not locate the man described by the store clerk.
Teen hospitalized
A 15-year-old Lyle boy was found passed out from apparent alcohol poisoning early Saturday.
According to an Austin Police Department report, the teen-ager’s sister called police to report her brother’s friends left the youth at her residence in northeast Austin at 12:22 a.m. Saturday.
He told police he consumed vodka and beer at a party hosted by a girl at Mandolin Apartments.
The teen-ager was taken to Austin Medical Center’s emergency room for treatment.
According to the police report, the youth’s sister said he is on probation for three previous offenses of minor consuming.
