Joseph Stier reported a theft from Stier Grocery Store in Grand Meadow.
Stier, owner of the grocery store, told the Mower County Sheriff’s Office the theft likely occurred on Feb. 10.
He reported two money bags missing. One contained $100 in coins, the other had $400 in assorted bills. The bags were kept in an unlocked drawer in his office.
According to Stier, his wife saw the bags at 2 p.m. that afternoon, but the bags were missing by 6 p.m.
