Despite the recent inclement weather, Hormel Foods Corp. will conduct its annual meeting of stockholders as scheduled at 8 tonight at Austin High School’s Richard L. Knowlton Auditorium.

V. Allan Krejci, vice president of public relations for Hormel Foods, urged stockholders planning to attend the meeting to use extreme caution if ice or other weather conditions make travel hazardous.

"If severe weather conditions do develop, we ask stockholders to use thee own good judgment in deciding whether to travel to the meeting," Krejci said.

As a convenience for stockholders unable to attend tonight’s meeting, Krejci also announced that arrangements have been made to broadcast the entire meeting on cable access channel 6 on at 5 p.m. Friday.

As another alternative, shareholders will be able to view a video of the meeting on the Internet from Feb. 4 to May 4. Details to access the video will be in Wednesday’s Austin Daily Herald.
