A 28-year-old Austin man is being held in the Mower County Jail pending a formal complaint being filed in a knife attack.
Stephen Wayne Dennison is accused of stabbing Robert Trevino, 30, of Austin, during a fight outside Charley’s Bar at 12:48 a.m. Sunday.
According to Austin Police Department reports, brothers Robert, 30, and Ruben, 29, Trevino were ordered to leave the bar when an argument broke out between the pair and Dennison and his companions.
The Trevino brothers claimed they were attacked by the Dennison group and that the attack continued when they went to their father’s northeast Austin residence.
Dennison claimed he and his friends were attacked by the Trevino brothers, according to the report.
Robert Trevino was treated at Austin Medical Center’s emergency room, where he had a stab wound that required 15 stitches.
