Isabel Vatne got her picture postcards of the old Taopi District 99 School House stamped and franked by LeRoy Postmaster and Taopi resident Judy Jasper at Taopi’s 125th Anniversary celebrations on Saturday. Vatne taught fifth- through eighth-grade in the school house when she was 18 years old and was sending the postcards to her grandchildren. Taopi Postmaster Marvel Oxley said the line for the special 125th Anniversary frankings had been non-stop since 10 a.m. Vatne also had her special Taopi history book stamped and franked.
