The Lyle/Pacelli volleyball team opened its season with a 25-11, 25-21, 23-25, 25-19 loss to Houston in Lyle Tuesday.

The Athletics (0-1 overall, 0-1 SEC) played the match without their starting middle hitter and they had to shuffle three ‘B’ squad players into the lineup.

“We had to move some players around and other than our serving, I saw a lot of promising plays,” L/P head coach Lindsay Leif said. “They’ve come along way in two weeks, but we’ve still got a ways to go.”
