Norma Schroeder

Norma Jean Schroeder, 76, of Austin, Minn., died Friday evening at Mayo Clinic Heath System in Austin.

She was born on Oct. 7, 1934, to Charles and Minnie (Moeler) Henaman in Spencer, Iowa. Norma grew up in northern Iowa and southern Minnesota. On May 6, 1953, she was united in marriage to Donald Schroeder in Jackson, Minn. Norma owned and operated a daycare center over 18 years in Austin and attended Crane Chapel. Her hobbies included collecting ceramic roosters and horses. Her family was her life, and being with them made her the happiest.

Survivors include two sons, Doug (Shellie) Schroeder of Austin and Doran (Darcy) Schroeder of Austin; five grandchildren, Jason Anderson of Austin, Irene (Scott) Hill of Austin, Kevin (Mindy) Schroeder of Delano, Minn., Dylan Schroeder of Austin, and Dana Schroeder of Austin; seven great-grandchildren, Damian Schroeder of Austin, David Schroeder of Austin, Vatia Schroeder of Delano, Miranda Anderson of Austin, Alyssa Anderson of Austin, Sabrina Anderson of Austin and Dezeray Hill of Austin; two great great grandchildren, Myla Flores of Austin and Dawson Hill of Austin; two sisters, Ruby Hughes of Spencer and Ester Baxter of Langdon, Iowa; one brother, Darrell Henaman of Lyle, Minn., along with many other wonderful relatives and friends.
