Jack Russell terrier allegedly stolen from yard

An Austin couple is searching for their Jack Russell terrier, Max, after they believe he was stolen from their front yard.
The couple reported the potential theft to police on Thursday. According to Capt. Dave McKichan, the couple said the dog had been tied up in the front lawn. They noticed him missing, but the leash was still in the yard.
Max is presumed to be wearing his collar, which is black and red. Max is black and white.
The age of the dog was unavailable.
The potential theft happened in the 2000 block of East Oakland Ave.
If anyone sees a dog that could be Max, contact law enforcement immediately.
