In other action Wednesday, the school board:
n Authorized Naomi Hatfield, Julia Espe, Royce Helmbrecht and Dr. James Hess to have athletic department petty cash account signature authority.
n Heard Jean McDermott, Ellis Middle School principal, report on the first-ever student-directed parent-teacher conferences in November. According to McDermott, a 97 percent attendance by parents was accomplished and surveys taken of the parents/guardians show a positive response to the idea.
