Rick Chilson, 42
Rick Chilson, 42, of New Hope died at his home Tuesday, Nov. 21, 1999.
He was born Aug. 16, 1957, in Austin, to Walter and Clara (Underland) Chilson. After graduating from Lyle High School in 1975, Rick attended Austin Community College. Active in high school sports, he enjoyed golf, skiing and softball. He worked as a carpenter and also at Hormel Foods corporation. After a diving accident in the early 1990’s in Utah, he relocated to the twin cities.
He is survived by his parents, Walter and Clara Chilson of Lyle, son, Eric Chilson of Kasson; sisters and brothers-in-law Karen and Larry McCarty of Maple Lake, Mary Ann and Rick Broitzman of Lyle, Marlene Everson, Austin; brothers and sister-in-law Wayne Chilson, Arizona, Don and Kim Chilson, Lyle.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Casket bearers are Scott Everson, Ty Joblinske, Nick Everson, Derek Murphy, Tim Joblinske, Michael McCarty, and honorary casket bearer, Todd Chilson.
· Service: 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 1999 at Worlein Funeral Home with the Rev. Barbara Finley-Shea officiating.
· Interment: Moscow Cemetery
· Visitation: Friends may call one hour before the time of services at Worlein Funeral Home on Friday.
Roger Graves, 59
Roger Walter Graves, 59, died at his home 1228 Howell, Worland, Wyo., Nov. 30, 1999.
He was born Sept. 14, 1940 to Robert and Melba (Roche) Graves in Austin.
He is survived by his wife Delores, Worland, Wyo.; daughters Tammy (Larry) Nielsen, St. Charles, and Joneen (Nathan) Douglas, Cheyenne, Wyo.; sons Ross (Sandy) Stensrud, Rochester and Nicholas B. Graves, Worland, Wyo.; five grandsons; mother Melba I. Graves; brothers Robert L. Graves, Moore, Okla., Darryl L. Graves, Minneapolis; sister Carol (Francis) Ferguson, Austin; aunts, uncles and cousins.
· Service: Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 1999 in Worland, Wyo.
Isidore King, 93
Isidore King, 93, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999 at Meadow Manor Nursing Home in Grand Meadow where he was a resident.
He is survived by a step son Clifford and Eleanor Quast, New Berlin, Wis.; sister Elizabeth Stevens, Austin; two nieces Ramona Norman, Sunnyvale, Calif., Victoria Mickelson, St. Cloud.
Private family services are being held.
Alma Ross, 89
Alma Caroline Ross, of 455 2nd St. SE, Blooming Prairie, died Monday, Nov. 29, 1999 at Austin Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 21, 1910 to Olaf and Josephine (Olson) Ross in Nassau, Minn. in Lac Qui Parle County. She attended school in Madison and worked as a telephone operator in Minneapolis, West Concord and Blooming Prairie. Alma loved to visit with friends and family, go on bus tours, shopping and dine out. She also enjoyed bowling and participated in several bowling leagues throughout her life.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant twin brother, two other brothers and two sisters.
· Service: 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 2 at First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie with The Rev. Richard Hegal officiating. Betty Ingvaldson is the organist with Donna Strand as soloist.
· Interment: Augustana Cemetery in Marietta at a later date.
· Visitation: Friends may call at Blooming Prairie Funeral Home from 3-6 p.m. Wednesday and at the church one hour before the service.
· Memorials are preferred to the donors’ choice.
