One man and one woman dominated the scoring for last week.
First, veteran high scorer Beth Duenow had a near miss 700 while participating in the Wednesday Matinee League.
She started with a 278 and a 221 while finishing up with a 194, needing a double in the 10th frame of the last game for her 700.
Al Smith followed her up the next night in the Echo 65ers with a 756 total.
Al started strong with a 274 game, then left five solid 10 pins in the second game, missing one for a 213. He then threw 10 out of 11 strikes in his last game, only to drop his last ball of the night right in gutter for a 269. Al carried a 201 average last year in the 65ers.
John Gray, also of the 65ers, tallied a 284 game to grab high game honors for the week.
Lea Shawback topped the senior men by rolling a 611 series including a 224 game in the Thursday League.
The week was also highlighted in the 65ers league when Mike Matyas and Dave Schaefer both rolled a clean set of three games to share the clean pot jackpot that was up to $110.
In prep action, Donovan Germain led the Junior Majors by bowling a 566 series and a 221 game.
Jenny Classon topped the Junior girls with a 431 total and a 181 game.
The Bantam Preps leader was Dustin Riste who rolled a 512 series and a 178 game for the boys.
Laura Adams topped the girls with a 376 series and a 151 game.
The Austin prep team upset the Mayo Spartans winning four out of five games and then followed it up by knocking off the Hayfield Vikings to take over the top spot in the western division of the conference.
Perfect 10 for 10s were turned in by Jennie Duholm and Patrick Tabor in the first session, and then Jessie Duholm and Derek Bultman followed it up with perfect efforts in the second.
Austin matched up with Hayfield and Byron this past Saturday at Echo Lanes.
