Bruins fall to Wichita Falls

The Austin Bruins wrapped up the NAHL Showcase with a 4-1 loss to Wichita Falls in Blaine Saturday.
The Bruins (1-3 overall) fired off 46 shots, but didn’t connect until the third period, when Brandon Wahlin netted his fourth goal of the Showcase to make it a 3-1 game.
The Bruins came up empty on all seven of their power plays and the Wildcats scored one shorthanded goal.
Tyler Bruggeman took the loss in the net for Austin as he had 29 saves.
