At left, Ellis science teacher Todd Waterbury dropped specially-packaged eggs from 50 feet up Wednesday with the help of the Austin Fire Department’s ladder truck. Waterbury estimated that 40 percent of the day’s droppings survived the fall, although only eight of 29 in this group made it.
