Ron Felten and Mike Ankeny will meet in the second candidate forum for the 5th District seat of the Mower County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday.

The forum will start at 5 p.m. in the Austin City Council Chambers. The forum is expected to conclude before 6 p.m. to give people the chance to attend the precinct caucuses starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

People attending the forum can write down questions for Ankeny and Felten to answer, but all questions go through a moderator.

A previous candidate forum was held Jan. 14 for the seven candidates for the seat leading up to the special primary.

The forum will be filmed and rebroadcast on Austin Cable Government Channel 16, Saturday, Feb. 6 at 2 and 5 p.m. and Sunday Feb. 7 at 2 and 5 p.m.

The 5th District seat has been vacant since Commissioner David Tollefson died Dec. 3. The seat needs to be filled between 30 and 90 days after it became vacant. The special election is Feb. 10.
