Harold Hightshoe

Harold E. Hightshoe, 90, of Austin died Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls, Minn.
Harold was born on Dec. 9, 1919 in Corning, Minn. to Harry and Albertina (Ulland) Hightshoe.  He married Mae Wobschall on June 24, 1941 at the First Lutheran Church in Ellendale, Minn.  Harold and Mae were married for almost 69 years. Harold retired from U.S. West after 25 years. In his younger years, Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and traveling in his Winnebago. Harold was known as a handyman and always enjoyed helping people. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Harold was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Mae Hightshoe of Cannon Falls, Minn.; daughter, Norma Amaris of Northfield, Minn.; son, Allen Hightshoe of St. Paul, Minn; son and daughter-in-law, Darrell (Wendy) Hightshoe of Backus, Minn;  grandchildren, Nicole, Kari, Lori (Tom), Jamie (Heather), Ryan (Brenda), and Amanda; great-grandchildren, McKayla, Drew, Jack, Luke and Jason.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 21, 2010 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Red Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour before the service on Friday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
