Dorothy Jean Mulholland, age 57, of Spring Valley, Minn. died Thursday May 6, 2010 at Seasons Hospice in Rochester after a battle with Brain Cancer.
She was born January 11, 1953 in Waverly, IA to Harold and Margaret (McDonough) Campbell. She graduated from Waverly High School and attended and graduated from Wartburg College. Dorothy worked as a Medical Laboratory Scientist for Community Memorial Hospital in Spring Valley for 23 years where she served as lab supervisor for many of those years. After the closing of the Hospital in Spring Valley she continued her work at the Austin Medical Center in Austin, MN.
Dorothy loved to work in her flower gardens and spend time with her cat Orion; she always had a very positive attitude and had a smile that would brighten any room she entered. There was nothing more important in Dorothy’s life than taking care of and spending time with her family.
Funeral Mass for Dorothy J. Mulholland will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday May 11, 2010 at St Ignatius Catholic Church in Spring Valley with Monsignor Francis Galles officiating. Burial will be in the Church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:30 till 8:00 P.M. Monday May 10, 2010 at the church with a Rosary recited by the Knights of Columbus at 4:30. Visitation will continue at the church on Tuesday.
She is survived by her husband Scott of Spring Valley, her children Sara (Josh) Perry of Ames, Iowa and Michael Mulholland of Fargo, N.D.; her siblings, Bob (Jean) Campbell of Santa Clara, Calif., Don (Darlene) Campbell of Eau Clair, Wisconsin, Marge (Jerry) Nissen and James Campbell both of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Larry Campbell of Des Moines, Iowa, Rick (Jean) Campbell, Paul (Debbie) Campbell and Tony Campbell all of Waverly, Iowa , Eileen Vossen of St Paul, Minn. and Pat (Dan) Schmidt of Clarksville, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Harold and Margaret.
