Kenneth Laufle

Kenneth Gust Laufle, 86, of Austin, died Friday, Jan. 1, 2010 at Fieldcrest Care Center in Hayfield.
Kenneth was born June 3, 1923 in Austin to Gust and Geraldine (Dilger) Laufle. He worked for Fantles through high school. Kenneth served in the United States Navy during WWII and Korea. He worked at Austin State Bank (Wells Fargo) as an installment loan officer and was a retired Mayo Clinic employee. 
Kenneth’s adult participation with the Girl Scouts began as Treasurer of the Austin Council. He served on the personnel of Mississippi Valley Development Committee. He served two terms as the first President of River Trails Girl Scout Council and following that served in various other offices through the years.
Kenneth served as Vice President of the Albert Lea Area Ostomy Group. He was a charter member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church. 
Survivors include his brother, Gerald Laufle Sr., Austin; brother-in-law, Hugo “Ed” Gomer, Austin; nieces, nephews and cousins. 
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Father Dale Tupper officiating.  There will be a 9:30 a.m. rosary at the church on Wednesday, where friends may call from then until the time of the service. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery with military rites and casket bearers by American Legion Post #91 and VFW Post #1216.         
Memorials are preferred to the Mayo Foundation in Rochester, MN  55905 or the Austin Medical Center Foundation in Austin, MN  55912.
