Juice Newton to headline Austin police fundraiser

The Austin Police Department is bringing legendary country music star Juice Newton to town for its 15th annual Country Music Spectacular Oct. 22.

The show will be held at Austin High School’s Knowlton Auditorium with the show starting at 7 p.m. and the doors opening at 6 p.m.

Concert attendees are encouraged to bring children’s winter outerwear, as the Austin Police Officers Association is partnering with the Mower County United Way to keep kids warm this winter.

Gently used or new winter coats, snow suits/pants, mittens, gloves, hats and other winter clothing are welcome.

Newton, who is famous for songs like The Sweetest Thing and Queen of Hearts, is headlining the show. Thom Bresh will open the show.

Tickets will be on sale beginning Oct. 10 and can be purchased at the Law Enforcement Center for $22. Family tickets for two adults and their children are available for $48. Tickets will be available at the door the night of the event, too.
