Martha Lorraine Stensrud, 77
Martha Stensrud, 77, died at her home in Hayfield, Minn., on Friday morning, July 25, 2008.
Martha Lorraine Moen was born Sept. 15, 1930, the daughter of Ole and Bertina (Ness) Moen in Rock Dell Township, Minn. Martha was united in marriage to Clinton Stensrud on Oct. 15, 1947, at East St. Olaf Lutheran Church and they farmed in Rock Dell for 58 years. She was a member of East St. Olaf Church, and Ladies Aid.
Martha is survived by two daughters, Judith (James) Blahnik, DePere, Wis.; Julaine (Richard) Winkels, Stewartville, Minn.; two grandchildren, Lindsay and Emily Winkels; sister, Irene (Harold) Sanvick, Austin; five brothers, Trumen (Mavis) Moen, Austin, Leon (Margaret) Moen, Kasson, Minn., Ivan (Dorothy) Moen, Byron, Minn., Robert (LaDonna) Moen, Byron, and Paul (Marie) Moen, Rochester, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clinton; grandson, Matthew; sister, Opal Linbo; three brothers, Ephraim, Archie, and Marvin Moen.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at East St. Olaf Lutheran Church with the Reverend Darby Lawrence officiating. Interment will be in East St. Olaf Lutheran Cemetery in rural Byron. Visitation will be from 5 – 8 p.m. Monday, July, 28, 2008, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield and one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday. The family prefers memorials to East St. Olaf Lutheran Church.
