Larry Seljeseth, Sr.

Larry Seljeseth, Sr., 62, of Montgomery, formerly of Austin, died on June 4, 2008 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
He was born June 25, 1945 to Sverre “Melvin” and Clara “Helen” (Bonnett) Seljeseth in Austin. He grew up in Rose Creek where he graduated from high school. He married his high school sweetheart, Judy Jester, on Sept. 21, 1963 in Sisseton, S.D. They made their home in St. Paul, where Larry worked in construction before moving to Hampton to work for Rayfo Manufacturing. They moved to Dodge Center in 1982 where he was employed by MTM. He ran a funnel cake concession trailer for 19 years. A member of the Methodist faith, Larry enjoyed cooking, hunting, photography, snowmobiling and four-wheeling.
Survivors include his wife, Judy, Montgomery; three daughters, Mindy (Russell) Tomfohrde, Mazeppa, Sarainia Seljeseth, Manorville, Tisha (Chad) Heinle, Montgomery; son, Larry (Linda) Seljeseth, Jr., Austin; seven grandchildren; five siblings, Sonya (Roger) Hofner, Dexter, LaVonne (Alan) Fones, Duluth, Tharen (Linda) Seljeseth, Owatonna, Colleen (Earl) Sletten, Owatonna, Renae (Roger) Russell, Sr., College Station, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clara and Sverre; two brothers, one sister and one nephew.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 9, 2008 at the Salvation Army Chapel with Major Alan Fones and Major LaVonne Fones co-officiating. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m., Sunday at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin and at the church one hour prior to the service on Monday. Interment is at Oakwood Cemetery, Austin.
