Austin will get a free look Saturday at all the local YMCA has to offer.
From 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8 Austin community members can come explore the YMCA for free during its fall open house.
Community members are encouraged to break a sweat during group fitness classes, play at the Family Fun Night, log miles in the Wellness Center and Cardio Loft, explore the Kids Gym and Youth Zone and make a splash in the pool. The Y also offers a a $25 credit toward a person’s first program for anyone who joins in the month of October.
Last year, the YMCA of Austin helped over 7,200 children and adults take charge of their health, spend quality time together as a family, develop relationships with neighbors, learn new skills, improve their grades and enjoy a laugh with staff and other members. Programs such as the Y’s $1 annual youth membership and free after school programs fulfill a need in the community by creating a safe and healthy place for youth to play.
To learn more about the impact the Y is making in the Austin community and to get involved, stop by its open house, contact the Y at 507-433-1804 or visit ymca-austin.org for more information.
