An Austin man accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl pleaded guilty Monday to felony criminal sexual conduct.
Daniel Eugene Hall, 35, could face up to 25 years in prison. He awaits sentencing on April 16.
According to a criminal complaint, a detective with the Austin Police Department received a call last January from a child protection worker at Mower County Human Services.
Officials arrested Hall at his place of employment. When told the allegations were of criminal sexual conduct, “he did not seem surprised,” the complaint stated, and told police he thought the matter had been “nipped in the bud.”
