Lillian Hope Mullenbach, 75

Lillian Hope Mullenbach, 75, died Thursday July 29, 2010, at the Grand Meadow Health Care Center.

She was born Dec. 22, 1934, in Crosby, N.D., to Steve and Ellen (Johnson) Brennhofer. On Sept. 16, 1961, she married Robert Mullenbach at St. Pius Church in Rochester, Minn. They lived in Adams until 1994, when they moved to Lyle. Lillian had lived at Wildwood Grove Memory Care in Leroy since 2009. Lillian was a homemaker who enjoyed word games, singing, and playing the accordion and organ. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Robert, of Leroy; her children, Rita Mullenbach and Craig Mullenbach, of Adams, Karen (Louis) Dion, of Rose Creek, Lisa (Curt) Heimer, of Adams, Joel Mullenbach, of San Diego, Calif.; eight grandchildren, Danny, Mitch, Kelsey, Dillon, Jordan, Logan, Hope, Brayden; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Joan Mullenbach.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2010, at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel, Austin. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2010, at Worlein Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery. The family prefers that memorials be made to donor’s choice.
