Blaze destroys pickup

A Staceyville man is out a pickup after a fire destroyed it Sunday morning.
Michael Roche was driving near 10164 640th Ave. when his 1991 Ford pickup started on fire. He told police it had been having mechanical problems recently.
The Adams Fire Department extinguished the blaze. Roche was uninjured.
The loss is estimated at $2,100.
ATV stolen near Dexter
A Dexter man reported to police that his ATV was stolen between Friday and Saturday.
Rodney Chapek told officers someone stole his red 2008 Suzuki 750 King Quad ATV. The vehicle was reportedly taken from Chapek’s shed at 66985 210th St. in rural Dexter.
Chapek said it looks like someone used a credit card to unlatch the shed door.
The ATV is worth $7,500. There are no suspects, although police were able to follow the ATV tracks eastbound on 210th St. and north toward Highway 16.
If anyone has information about the stolen vehicle, they should contact police.
