Two vehicles were destroyed by fire sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning in Austin.
The vehicles, with a combined value of $53,000, were parked in a non-residential property on 21st Street Southeast overnight when the fires occurred.
A 1988 Ford pickup truck with severe fire damage was discovered parked outside a shed around 8 a.m. Monday morning by the owner of the vehicle. Later in the day, the owner reported that a 1982 International grain truck, parked inside the shed, was also the subject of severe fire damage.
The shed was subject to minor smoke damage, but there was no damage to the structure of the shed.
The owner of the vehicles said the Ford pickup truck had been in good condition Sunday evening.
The pickup truck is valued at $3,000, while the grain truck is valued at $50,000.
The Austin Police Department is investigating possible vandalism, as two incidents were reported on the same site.
