Austin will be subject to an aerial application of mosquito spray Thursday, weather permitting.

Spraying is scheduled to begin after 8 p.m.

The spray that is used does not affect humans, animals or plants, according to the city engineer’s office. The spray is designed to kill adult mosquitoes.

If weather does not permit spraying on Thursday, it will be rescheduled for Friday, July 2.
