Jerome Dean Kraling, 54, of Owatonna, died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

He was born Sept. 22, 1957, in Rochester, Minn., to Otto and Uldene (Wradislavsky) Kraling. He lived most of his life in the Owatonna area. Jerome was a member of First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie and the Elks Lodge in Owatonna, where he most recently worked. He enjoyed tractor pulls, fishing, hunting and drinking coffee with his family and friends.

Survivors include his mother, Uldene “Dene” Kraling of Blooming Prairie; children, Annie Kraling of Kenyon, Minn., Jenny Kraling of Mankato, Minn., Michael Kraling of Red Wing, Minn.; sisters, Joan (Roger) Stoen of Medford, Minn., JoDee (Scott) Hendrikson of Northfield, Minn.; brothers, Otto John (Barb) Kraling of Blooming Prairie, Patrick (Robin) Kraling of Owatonna; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Otto D. Kraling in 2002 and a nephew, Eric Jenson.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, at First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie with Rev. Charles Leonard officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Worlein Blooming Prairie Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Blooming Prairie Cemetery.
