Colette M. (Berdan) Bednarczyk, 63, of Edina passed away peacefully aftera a lengthy battle with PSP. She was an inspiration to all, by accepting this devastating disorder with dignity, humor and courage. Many lives were changed during her journey. A devoted loving mother; an incredible wife of 35 years; best friend; partner; confidant and soul mate.

She is survived by her husband Bill (Willie), children Ann and Paul (Laura); siblings Mark and Fred (Sherrill) Berdan, Barbara (Bill) Rassmussen and Jane (Owen) Ausen. Preceded in death by parents Henry and Genie Berdan. She is a graduate of Pacelli High School and Minnesota School of Business. She was honored as Legal Secretary of the Year in 1976. She worked as office manager for major Minneapolis law firms. Her smile, quick wit, inner strength, warm hugs, gourmet cooking and hostess extraordinaire of great parties will be missed by all who knew her. We will always love you and have your spirit in our heart. Her suffering has ended. Rest in peace.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. Prayer Service at Washburn McReavy Edina Chapel, West 50th Street and Vernon Avenue at Highway 100, Edina. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, Aug. 31 at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. at the Church of St. Patrick, Valley View at Gleason Road, Edina.
