Paul Landherr

Paul George Landherr, age 86, of Rose Creek, passed away peacefully at home after a long illness on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011.

Paul was born Jan. 7, 1925, in Rose Creek to John and Margaret (Majerus) Landherr. He was a life long resident of the area and received First Holy Communion at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in 1932.

The family farmed together until his parents retired to Rose Creek in 1959. Paul worked several short-term jobs including Kilgore Creamery and Rose Creek Lumber until he eventually found employment with Sheedy Dairy, driving a milk truck.

Eventually he purchased one of their trucks to become self employed until illness forced him to sell. If there was one part of his life Paul loved, it was his years as milk man. He very much enjoyed his customers. After recovery from cancer, he then spent several years doing lawn mower and other small engine repair from his garage until he retired.

Paul was a colorful, outspoken person not easy to forget. He really enjoyed tinkering in his shop, blowing snow, mowing lawns, riding his bicycle and arguing politics.

Paul was able to reconnect with the girl he was fond of in the late 1950s and married Linda in 2005. The couple enjoyed nearly seven years of shared memories, companionship and traveling to visit relatives while building their brief life together.
