They have an idea. Well, more than one, anyway.

The Vision 2020 Idea Selection Committee is finalized. The committee is composed of the following community members:

David Albino, Mary Barinka, George Brophy, Santino Deng, Linda Espinoza. Edgar Garcia, Olivia Grev, Ryan Hartman, Jane Jewell, Gabe Kasak, Frank Lowe, Matt Lunning, Tanya Medgaarden, Judy Porter, Gretchen Ramlo, Chet Rao, Karem Salas-Ramierez, Tom Sherman, Ken Trom, Jerry Wolesky and Lana Zamora.

The committee is made up of 12 men and nine women. Austin’s ethnic and racial diversity is reflected throughout the committee. The committee represents all ages.

Idea Submission and applications for the committee closed Oct. 14. The committee is charged with looking at more than 3,000 ideas and narrowing to the top 100. The top 100 ideas will be communicated to the community and voting will take place Dec. 1 – Dec. 31 via paper ballet and through the website.
