The Austin girls soccer team dropped a home match 4-1 to Winona Friday.

Austin senior Annamarie Hernandez put the Packers (0-3 overall, 0-1 Big Nine) up 1-0 with a goal 10 minutes into the game.

“She hit a nice long shot and it landed right over the goalie,” Austin head coach Josh Dumas said.

Winona (1-2 overall, 1-1 Big Nine) tied the game up in the first half and scored three times in the second half.

“We just couldn’t hold on,” Dumas said.
