Manager accepts defeat

Kim Smith, the manager of KwikTrip on Oakland Avenue spent three hours in a cardboard jail in front of the store Wednesday afternoon after losing a bet to her employees.

The manager of KwikTrip on Oakland Avenue spent three hours in a cardboard jail in front of the store Wednesday afternoon after losing a bet to her employees.

Kim Smith had set a sales goal for her staff to sell at least 25 pizzas a day. After meeting that goal five days in a row, Smith agreed to suffer the punishment set by her employees.

“I said I would do whatever they wanted,” Smith said.

Smith said she regularly challenges her staff to meet goals and this was just another way to help them out.
