Lyle’s $1.5 million referendum renewed

The Lyle Public School district passed the renewal of its $1.5 million referendum for the next 10 years.
Residents voted 62.2 percent yes Tuesday night in Lyle, with 228 yes votes to 138 no votes.
About $158,000 per year out of Lyle’s overall budget of $3.2 million annually was at stake. About $50,000 of the referendum comes from voters, while the rest comes from state funding.
