A man was arrested Tuesday evening on an Arkansas warrant for felony forgery and felony forgery of checks, according to Police Chief Brian Krueger.

William Mahan, 36, was taken into custody at the Holiday Inn. Krueger said Arkansas police thought he could potentially be at the Holiday Inn in Austin or in Elkton. He was also said to be driving a black pick-up truck with Arkansas plates, but the truck has not been located.

He is being held at the Mower County Jail awaiting extradition.
