The Blooming Prairie volleyball team lost a tough four-game match at Waterville/Elysian/Moristown (10-4 overall) by scores of 25-21, 24-26, 25-21, 26-24 Thursday.

The Awesome Blossoms (6-10 overall, 1-2 Gopher) tried to take advantage of some W/E/M hitting errors to force a fifth game, but their passing wasn’t quite what it needed to be, according to head coach Gina McLaughlin.

“WEM was starting to tire at the net late in the match,” she said. “I feel like we would have had a good chance in the fifth game had we been able to get to that point. We’re still working on building that killer instinct when the game gets tight. We are looking more confident when push comes to shove, but we are still learning how to be strong finishers.”
