Norma (Glassel) Ellis, 69, of Austin, died of cancer, in Salem, Ore., on Nov. 3, 2011.

Norma was born in Austin on Nov. 1, 1942. She ran the Kozy Nook in Austin in the 1960s.

She is survived by a daughter, Vanessa (Jones) Wannting; son, Albert Ellis, of Sparks, Nev; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Bobby Glassel, of St. Ansgar, Iowa; sister, Sylvia Glassel of Salem, Ore.

A memorial service will be held after cremation in the near future at the Virgil T. Golden Funeral Home in Salem.
