The Austin boys soccer team topped Kasson/Mantorville (7-3 overall) 2-0 in Art Hass Stadium Saturday.

The Packers (5-3-1 overall) got two second half goals from sophomore Jake Hagen-Erickson to put it away.

The first goal came when Noe Garcia Marquez made a steal to open the second half and found Hagen-Erickson for a score just 15 seconds into the half.

Hagen-Erickson’s second goal came on a rebound off a shot by Rolando Rubio 17 minutes into the second half.

Austin had 21 shots in the second half, after getting off just 12 attempts in the first half.

“We stepped it up and made things happen in the second half,” Austin head coach Jens Levisen said.

Jesus Alejo had four saves in net for the Packers.
