An Austin woman convicted earlier this year for her role in an area drug ring violated her probation and was sentenced to jail time Monday.
Trisha Ruth Severson, 35, will now serve 27 months in a correctional facility, which includes nine months of supervised release, for aiding and abetting in the sale of a controlled substance.
According to a criminal complaint, Severson — along with Tom Heuangsayaseng, 24, Khammay Stacy Douangmala, 35, and Bobby Thonesavanh, 22 — discussed and sold Ecstasy pills to a confidential police informant more than a half-dozen times between April and May 2007.
The complaint claims Severson contacted the informant April 9 to discuss a partnership to sell pills locally.
The informant went to 1605 Oakland Ave. East to work out details with Severson and Thonesavanh.
The next day, the informant bought 15 pills that tested positive for methamphetamine and Ecstasy, the complaint states.
Between April 10 and May 16, the four sold a total of 310 pills to the informant before their arrests during search warrants May 18 at three homes linked to drug activity — 1111 Eighth Ave. SW, 2119 Third Ave. NE and the Oakland Avenue residence.
Police found a large bag of pink pills and drug paraphernalia at the Oakland home.
Prior to the drug arrest, Heuangsayaseng was taken into custody April 18 for allegedly driving after revocation.
The complaint said $13,180 was found in a hidden compartment in the vehicle, including money from drug sales with the informant.
The day he was released, the complaint states, he sold 100 pills to the informant from the Eighth Avenue address.
All four suspects have been convicted and sentenced in the case.
