United Way of Mower County is raising the bar.

United Way will raise the thermometers on the fall fundraising campaign at 11 a.m. Thursday at The Cedars of Austin.

United Way kicked off its 2011 campaign Sept. 8. The United Way campaign publicly runs until Dec. 15; although, many campaigns end in January and February of 2012. In 2010, the United Way of Mower County had a record-setting year, raising more than $1 million.
