Alice L. Clausen, 91

Alice L. Clausen, 91, of Adams, and formerly of Osage, died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010, at the Austin Medical Center in Austin.
Alice was born March 4, 1919, near Crystal Lake, Iowa, the daughter of Martin and Rachel (Davis) Rasmussen.
She married Floyd Clausen on Nov. 12, 1942, in Riceville, Iowa. They farmed in the David area, moving to Osage in 1948. Alice was employed at the Faith Lutheran Home and Maple Manor Nursing Home, both in Osage.
Alice is survived by two children: Charlene (Herb) Merten, Taopi, Marty Clausen, Osage, Iowa, four grandchildren: Carol Billings, Austin, John (fiancé, Tracy Tindal) Merten, Austin, Todd (Katie) Clausen of Cedar Falls, Iowa; Mike (Nikki) Clausen, Green Bay, Wis.; eight great-grandchildren: Emily, Zakk, Nicholas, Natalie, Paige, Jackson, Rayanna and Ethyn; sister: Darlene Summers, Floyd, Iowa; two brothers: Roger (Leona) Rasmussen, Nora Springs, Iowa, Archie (Ruth) Rasmussen, Mason City, Iowa; sisters-in-law: Jean Clausen, Mary (Bob) Weed, Ruby Harold, Grace Rasmussen; brother-in-law, Doug Walker; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-mother: Winnie; her husband: Floyd Clausen in 1967; three sisters: Ann, Vi, Mary; and three brothers: Eddie, Gene, and Dick.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with the Rev. Kris Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery at Riceville. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.
