The Riverland men’s basketball team won its fourth straight game when it topped Rainy River 96-80 in Riverland Gym Friday.
The Blue Devils (6-2 overall) led by double digits for the entire second half as they got a big boost from Jeff Clark-Neal, a 5-11 guard from St. Paul, who had 11 points and 17 rebounds, including 10 offensive boards.
“He knows how to use his body and he always seems to be around the basket,” RCC head coach Scott Koenigs said of Clark-Neal.
RCC’s offense was rolling as Zach Bunch scored 26 points, Taylor Morgan scored 22 and Austin grad Andrew Kaiser had 17 points.
“Zach did a good job of getting to the hoop, Taylor played well again and Andrew did a lot of good things tonight,” Koenigs said.
RCC scoring: Zach Bunch, 26; Taylor Morgan, 22; Andrew Kaiser, 17; Jeff Clark-Neal, 11; Marcus Ratliff, 9; Keith Thames, 8; Wayne Canady, 3; free throws: 63 percent (22-for-35)
