Austin Fire Department and Mower County sheriff’s deputies responded to a pole shed fire Sunday evening in Austin Township.

The building itself did not sustain damage, but a 1978 Ford pickup truck inside of the building was a total loss. The owner of the building and truck told deputies that the vehicle had been leaking fuel for some time, but he thought the leak had been fixed.

The fire squad was at the scene for 40 minutes.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
