Oh, the weather outside wasn’t that frightful.

About 3 to 5 inches fell in the Austin area over the weekend, with almost all of the snow falling on Saturday according to the National Weather Service.

NWS Meteorologist Zack Taylor said the Mower County area shouldn’t get another snowstorm this week, although there could be some flurries Wednesday night.

This week should be dry and colder than normal due to arctic air coming down from Canada through the Dakotas, along with a high pressure air system that will drive temps lower than average.
