Packer boys can’t keep up with Cedar Falls

The Austin boys basketball team lost at Cedar Falls, Iowa 71-41 Saturday night.
The Packers (1-1 overall) pulled to within 38-30 right before halftime, but Cedar Falls hit a three at the buzzer and it took over in the second half.
“It was just one of those nights,” Austin head coach Kris Fadness said. “We lost to a really good team. Once they got up, they kept the hammer down.”
James Harrington, who will run Division I track at the University of Alabama next year, scored 22 points for Cedar Falls, which shot 65 percent (20-for-31) from the field and 62 percent (8-for-13) on three-pointers in the win.
Austin sophomore Zach Wessels led the Packers with 16 points.
