Austin Area Art Center to hold art walk

Open to all area artists and crafters. The Austin Area Art Center will be holding an Art Walk, Friday, Nov. 26 and Saturday, Nov. 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the main hallway of Oak Park Mall.

There will be demonstrations, activities and a variety of art: Photos, jewelry, ceramics, and more. If you are an artist or crafter, come demonstrate how to make a project, paint or sculpt. Musicians bring your CDs, posters, etc., to promote your band or yourself! Bring an instrument and play. Performers may bring DVDs of performances to sell.  Photographers come sell your photographs and give demonstrations on how to use your camera. Writers bring your books and writings and give readings of your short stories and/or poetry.

The cost for a table is $5 for members, $15 for nonmembers. Join in the fun and show shoppers what you can do.

Pre-registration is required. Deadline for registration is Sunday, Nov. 21. All sales will go through the Art Center. Participating artists will receive 80 percent of the sales; 20 percent will go to help fund the art center. Commissions checks on sales may be picked up Friday, Dec. 3.

Austin Area Art Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and this is a fundraising effort.
