The Blooming Prairie boys basketball team lost to Winona Cotter 44-37 in the first round of the Southland Invite in Adams Thursday.

The score was tied at 33 with four minutes left but Cotter (1-2 overall) finished the game on an 11-4 run.

BP (3-2 overall) played the game without Gabe Kartes and Jimmy Mans, who were both out with illnesses.

BP will play in the consolation game at 6 p.m. in Adams Friday.
